Founded by Mr. Sergey Akhmatov, Florida Lenders Group is built on a foundation of expertise, efficiency, and strategic investment. With over a decade of experience in private lending, real estate investment, property acquisitions, and development, Mr. Akhmatov has a deep understanding of the industry’s complexities.
Growing up in a family of diplomats, he was exposed to an international environment where diplomacy and strategic thinking were ever-present. Florida Lenders Group was founded by Mr. Akhmatov, whose career in real estate began in Miami. With a focus on funding, private lending, and commercial and residential development, the company is built on a results-driven approach and a commitment to building strong, professional relationships.
Laying the Groundwork
Mr. Akhmatov began his career by acquiring and managing a diverse portfolio of properties, including multifamily homes, single-family residences, condos, and a commercial building.

• While a few condos were purchased through auctions, the majority of the properties consisted of standard acquisitions, which were developed and rented to residents, including those in the Section 8 program.

• The renovation of the commercial building in Miami-Dade involved extensive collaboration with construction teams and navigating the permitting process, providing him with invaluable hands-on experience in these critical areas.

• Over time, Mr. Akhmatov took a more direct role in managing construction projects, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency across all phases of development.

• Mr. Akhmatov served on the grievance board of a high-rise condominium in Miami’s Brickell district, gaining valuable experience that informs his approach to resident-focused developments.
